Generating Quality Leads through Collaboration
Many people think the most important job of Marketing is to generate qualified leads. In fact, Marketing's job varies greatly throughout the lifecycle of a company. In the early days, lead generation is challenging due to the lack of one or both of these key elements:

·   A known and respected company/brand

·   A credible solution

While leads can be generated, their worth is often questionable in the absence of the above elements. IEEE e-Book Series Debuts January 2012
Earlier this year we released two of our comprehensive guidebooks (Hit the Market Running and Build Market Momentum) as e-books. We have recently been invited by IEEE to develop a series of e-books to be entitled The Startup Guides. Comprising five volumes, this series is written for entrepreneurs  
 
The Startup Guides: Starting Your Startup is the first of the series, and explains how to write a short yet useful business plan to get you startup off the ground.

The Startup Guides: Market Size and Strategy is the second book in the series, slated for publication in February. This comprehensive guidebook takes you through target market definition, sizing and segmentation, and buils a go-to-market plan. 

The Startup Guides: Competitive Analysis comes next, and explains how to find your real competition, how to determine their strengths and weaknesses, and how to sell and market effectively in a crowded field.

The Startup Guides: Pricing Strategies is the fourth book in the series, and discusses both good and bad pricing strategies, with examples of each and their results. It spells out a proven approach for determining initial and ongoing pricing.

The Startup Guides: The Launch is the final book in the series. It presents a comprehensive timeline, responsibilities and activities that will lead up to a successful launch of your company and/or your product.

All the books in the series will be available through IEEE publication outlets and the IEEE website.

Astia Advisory Program Participation

 
 

Astia is a group of experts committed to building women leaders and accelerating the funding and growth of high-potential, high-growth women-led startups. Astia invited us to participate in the 2011 Advisory Program from October through December.

We worked with Marie-France Nelson, CEO of Lextine Software, as she transitioned her first product, Jussle, from a consumer focus to a B2B focus. We helped her solidify the value proposition, fine-tune the business plan and identify high-value early sales targets and campaigns. Jussle is a breakthrough approach to synchronizing and updating multiple calendars, and has been very well received by early customers in the technology, healthcare and transportation sectors.
